Susan Boyle in the Priory: If the media hadn't had been so 'involved' would she be in this state?
I feel sorry for the poor woman. It was obvious that she had 'learning difficulties' (as Piers Morgan said it, I didn't mean offense) Now they should leave her alone for a while, let her make her money and then have a comfortable life out of the media glare.

Unfortunately, without the media involvement she wouldn't have had the capability to make money from her singing. She doesn't appear to have learning difficulties to me. The rollercoaster ride she has been on could affect anyone who was subjected to the same experience. She wouldn't be able to afford to go into the Priory unless she had had this experience as it is so expensive. Going in the Priory could be the best thing that has ever happened to her. I have stayed there and it is amazing. Maybe it was all meant to be?

Answer 2
Yeah she couldn't handle all the pressure of the media and it wasn't fair for her but if it wasn't for the media she wouldn't have been known so well. she should definately just relax for awhile and then make some money!

Answer 3
Being in America I've only seen the clips of her shown on our news and shows like "Entertainment Tonight" and things like that. But I have thought all along, despite her voice, she probably doesn't have the disposition or personality to have a successful career. It is probably not just that she is not a beauty queen and somewhat overweight that has kept her from a show business career with her voice. I hope she gets feeling better and can make a go of it in show business. Maybe she could just record some music and not do too many personal appearances and things like that. There are perfectly good singers who record but rarely sing in public. Or maybe she could get managers or people who could help protect her. I wish her luck, but I don't know if she will really have a career.

The media over did it a bit and called her ugly and frumpy

I wish only the best for Susan Boyle. No matter what, I believe she will sell records and find happiness. She's an amazing talent.

yes and no. it is an affectation dating way back to the ancient and honourable 1960s. like the Freemasons it falsly claims true ancient traditions as its own. No1 knows where the grail is or if they do they are not telling but it was an ordinary cup of olive wood or clay which I always believe simply went back to the kitchens to be washed and stacked. This Mary of Magdala bilge is about as real as robin hood`s Maid Marion, or King Arthur`s Merlin. Some author thought to add a little spice centuries after the events which inspired the stories.

the priory of sion is a real brotherhood. . was reading the Da Vinci Code and Dan Brown portrayed the Priory of Sion in a bad light. basically they are a very secretive brotherhood and it does exist.

Answer 2
Maybe...but why do you want to know ?
2008-08-23 00:46:43

Answer 3
No - it isn't real. See Wiki..... After becoming a cause célèbre in the 1980s, the mythical Priory of Sion was exposed as a ludibrium created in 1961 by Pierre Plantard, a false pretender to the French throne. The evidence presented in support of its historical existence and activities before 1956 was discovered to have been forged and then planted in various locations around France by Plantard and his accomplices. Nevertheless, many conspiracy theorists persist in believing that the Priory of Sion is a 1000-year-old influential cabal which conceals a subversive secret. The Priory of Sion myth has been exhaustively debunked by journalists and scholars as one of the great hoaxes of the 20th century

No. It has been proven to be a complete fake. Look it up on wikipedia. The whole idea of Mary Magdalene being the holy grail was invented by the men that wrote "Holy Blood Holy Grail", and even they say they made the whole thing up. Opus Dei is real though.

Answer 8
The Priory of Scion/Sion has elements of both reality and fiction woven within it, like any ancient order or gathering of individuals brought together for a purpose they deem necessary to secrecy. In many ways, the Priory of Sion/Scion wasn't so much about maintaining the 'secret' of the Holy Grail but acting as a bulwark against the omnipresent single-minded interpretation of fact and history as dictated by the Catholic Church. If you've read, or seen the movie, The DaVinci Code, many of the 'masters' associated with the Priory were groundbreakingly intelligent for their day, and thus were much more comfortable entertaining ideas of Jesus as a mortal man, and thus able to marry and bear children, then many around them. The Priory's main purpose was not to protect the living heirs of Jesus Christ, per se, but to protect the human legacy of Jesus Christ. If Jesus is but a temporary corporeal embodiment of God, then he really is nothing more than a fleshy mouthpiece, playing the part of the dummy sitting obediently on God's knee, and thus only 'plays' at being human. However, if Jesus was as human as you or I, then the full spectrum of human emotion and experience would have been necessary to his life in order for him to become the prime intermediary that he said he was. That means partaking of ALL human emotions, including lust, desire and love. The question of whether or not Jesus and Mary Magdalene were ever married, according to Jewish custom, is a bit besides the point, since Jesus himself said that what was important was not in the pedigree offered but the spirit. Thusly, it can be said that the spirit of marriage existed between Jesus and Mary Magdalene regardless of any actual documentation (such a 'spiritual' marriage also exists between St. Francis and St. Claire as well, and there is no evidence there that either of them took such vows.) Although Jesus probably did intend for Mary Magdalene to carry on the legacy of his church, which was a radical departure from the accepted social power structure (all the temple elders were men during Jesus' time) and thus one reason why he did intend that, the reason the church was entrusted to Peter was because Peter was more representative of whom Jesus came down here to save. Mary Magdalene wasn't the screw up, Peter was, thus entrusting the church to Peter was Jesus/God's way of saying 'Here is someone you can identify with. A flawed leader for a flawed people.' However, since the ascension of Peter affectively ushered in an extremely misogynistic and repressive period of history against women, many followers believed that turning the church, and its power, back over to the one originally intended was a way to rectify the mistakes of the past. Thus, the 'Holy Grail', the cup of salvation, was a metaphor for bringing the church back into the balance Jesus intended it to be. The 'royal blood' in question is not that of Jesus' linneage but of Jesus' marriage: if Mary is truly Jesus' wife, then she has equal power and standing in the church, and those who serve her (male or female) thus have as much a right to lead (and be counted as equals among) the church as those (male) that follow her husband. That, in essence, is the 'secret' of the Holy Grail. That is why it is a woman, in the book and movie, who is revealed to be the 'heir'. She is the 'heir' of Christ in much the same way the Samaritan is a true 'Christian' in his parable.

Intriguing question. I'm drawn to Ann Boleyn or Catherine Howard - even though both were beheaded at the Tower of London. Perhaps some event at the Priory led to one of their downfalls. Katherine Parr is associated with the Priory, but she of course survived Henry VIII. I may be on the wrong track. I hope someone knows this one. I'll be interested in finding out. Thanks.

The organization in the book never existed. If you read the research on the book itself, and the contents, you'll find that the organization was made up by one man, a Frenchman, years ago, and it's never been real. "Some forged "medieval" documents, created in the 1960s, manufactured a story about a fictional Priory of Sion, a supposed thousand-year-old secret society. In actuality, it was a fictional society created in 1956, and used as part of a massive hoax in France. As part of the hoax, various "medieval" documents were forged and planted in the French National Library. Known as the "Dossiers Secrets d'Henri Lobineau", they make mention of an "Order of Sion" from the middle ages, which allegedly founded the Knights Templar. In reality, no such historical monastic order by that name existed in Jerusalem during the Crusades, and any connection with the name of Abbey of Sion is purely coincidental. There is no historical evidence whatsoever that the Abbey of Sion had any connection with the Knights Templar." The link this is from is listed below...when I read The Da Vinci Code, I researched it very extensively...and did so again when the movie was due to come out. I even went as far as to research Mary Magdalene as well!

The Priory of Sion was a hoax. It was to "prove" a French man named Pluntard was the ancestor of Jesus. All the documents were faked. The group never actually existed. The author of the Di Vinci Coded didn't do his research before he claimed it was a real orginization.

The Prieuré de Sion, usually rendered in English translation as Priory of Sion (occasionally as 'Priory of Zion'), is an alleged thousand-year-old cabal featured in various conspiracy theories, as well as being listed as a factual ancient mystery religion in the bestselling novel The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown. It has been characterized as anything from the most influential secret society in Western history to a modern Rosicrucian-esque ludibrium, but, ultimately, has been shown to be a hoax created in 1956 by Pierre Plantard, a pretender to the French throne. The evidence presented in support of its historical existence has not been considered authentic or persuasive by established historians, academics, and universities, and the evidence was later discovered to have been forged and then planted in various locations around France by Plantard and his associates. Nevertheless, many conspiracy theorists insist on the truth of the Priory's role as a powerful secret society.

The priory of sion was the name of the group (Leonardo Davinci, Sir Issac Newton, etc) they created that held the secret of there being descent of Jesus. The so called secret society used to hold a mating ritual where they would have sex to keep the blood line of Jesus going. So most of the members were supposed to be relative of Jesus. The story state that when Jesus died Mary Magdaline was pregnant with his baby and she kept this a secret and went into hiding then they created this group. And this book is fiction but no one really knows for sure whether this really happened or not. But never the less the book was great. Hope this helped.

I think you should see the movie because its clear and less time consuming.. Hope this helped
