Anyone know about The Priory of Scion?
This is or was the society whose members protected the Christ-Magdalene secret, was supposedly formed in the year 1066. It was even said that Leonardo Da Vinci was a member. Is this true?

no. there was a priory. but it was just a religious sect that eventaully died off within a few hundred years, by the 1300's. the papers the book talks about are forgeries.

It's been shown to be a hoax. Every bit of information about the Priory revolves around 1 of 3 people, and goes no further than the 1950's.

You know that that book was fiction don't you? Most of those things you mentioned are actually unrelated in anyway. Da Vinci was an atheist, priory of scion was invented in the 1950's, knights templar was just an army, and Tom Hanks is just an actor.

I don't think that the Priory of Scion was ever totally realistic, but there could be an unannounced group out there really doing what Dan Browns Priory was supposed to have done. But as far as the Jesus and Mary Magdalene theory... I think its VERY possible.

It is not true. The Old T make it rather clear that the Messiah wil come from the line of David. After King Saul, the ruling tribe was removed from Benjamin by God himself. King Saul did not take the advice from the prophet, and cause the death of a good prince, Jonathan. Sion is but a ploy to add on things to Jesus.
