Is the book The Da Vinci by Dan Brown real?

Is the book The Da Vinci by Dan Brown real?
Obviously not the whole scenerio with the two main characters. But the things mentioned? In the beginning of the book it states that The Priory of Sion and Opus Dei are real organizations also that l desription of artwork, architecture, documents, and secret rituals are accurate. Is this true? I'm only 16 and perhaps a bit naive when it comes to things like this.

Real, as in it is a real book. As for the plot events, Brown just took historical names and made up intrigue to go along with them
