While I am a Christian and believe in Jesus and all that, whether the facts of the "conspiracies" or whatever are true or not, here's a hint: it's found in the fiction section.

It's absolute nonsense. The Priory of Sion was a small club that faked some documents, (including implications that it was created a long time ago) in the hope of supporting it's leader's claim to the French throne. Is that my humble opinion? NO! The leader of the Priory of Sion ADMITTED this, yet many people thought it would make exciting and highly-profitable reading.

The Davinci Code was inspired by Holy Blood, Holy Grail (non-fiction)which suggests that Jesus and Mary Magdalene did have descendants. It's a plausible idea when you consider the facts that the authors discover. In fact, HBHG has spawned a whole field of interesting books surrounding the mystery of Rennes-le-Chateau. Some people believe it's an elaborate hoax. In the end you have to decide for yourself where the truth lies.

no... Even if it were true, does it really change the part of Christianity that matters? That he died for our sins?

It's plausible, but has since been disproved by historians. Not only is the book poorly written, Dan Brown didn't send so much as a thank you to the writers he ripped off for the idea. DNA tests have been done on the bones of the line of French Kings that are supposedly the offspring of Jesus and Mary's daughter. There are no indications of Middle Eastern markers in their blood. The Priory of Sion that lists the "Grand Masters" was a forgery that was slipped into the library by a con man named Pierre Plantard looking to influence a real estate deal. http://www.forteantimes.com/features/articles/132/da_vinci_decoded.html "It appears that, amongst other things, Plantard was a bit of a joker who spread tales of various forgotten bloodlines and hidden codes. Into these he wove many other elements, but he always made sure that he himself had a prominent role (as a direct descendant of Merovingian King Dagobert II). Plantard was, during World War II, a Nazi sympathizer and anti-Semite." "A report by the police in France in 1941 had said that: “Plantard, who boasts of having links with numerous politicians, seems to be one of those dotty, pretentious young men who run more or less fictitious groups in an effort to look important and who are taking advantage of the present trend towards taking a greater interest in young people in order to attract the Government’s attentionâ€."
