Is the Priory of Sion real.?
I've heard that it is real and has been around for hundreds of years and i have heard that it is a hoax and fabrication made by the Plantard Saint Clair guy

No one knows for sure. No one outside of the order that is, if indeed it actually exists. The documents that support the claims are said to be convincing and yet, those who claim said documents are fake are convincing as well. The actual recorded historical events, and the evidence that is known to have existed prior to the supposed hoax definately points to something larger. For more on the real story look for the book "Holy Blood, Holy Grail." Sorry, I can't remember the authors names.

Yes, it is a real thing. However, the stories you have heard are mostly false. Try a history book or an encyclopedia, don't trust hollywood. Also, it was originally called the Order of Sion, not the priory, and I believe the documents date it back to around 1100.
