Boarding Schools in California?
I'm looking for boarding schools in California around the bay area or east bay that are similar to Woodside Priory (a good boarding school that has no room). I've found nearbye boarding schools like the Athanian school and Monte VIsta, but i'm still a little hesitant. its for a to-be-senior male. thanks.

I would go with Athanian Boarding School. I have actually heard of a few people going there and they liked it and got right into the University they wanted.

i go to a public middle school... and st. andrews priory school offered the students in my school to take the scholarship program... my GPA is 3.667.....if u're straight A student ur GPA is 4.0... -Do you think i will be able to take the scholarship if hundreds of students will take the test(btw, the school needs 2 students from our school)??

Google Sherlock Holmes quotes - they have quotes from every story. Go to the movie title - google, usually imbd, rotten tomatos have info on the plot summery. Some of the trailers and fan fiction are on You tube. Just type in the titles. You tube also have interesting footage of the final problem by way of jeremy brett and even the other stories you are looking for. Including Young Sherlock Holmes. i don't know if they have crib notes but try wikipaedia on sherlock holmes - he is there. might give you ideas on methods. they do explain his powers of deduction and reasoning. Type in the titles of all stories also -they have great synopis that will help you too. My personal opinion - watch jeremy brett first and young Sherlock on You Tube- get an understanding of his character through visual means, then do the reading. It is short enough. In writing - ask yourself Kiplings questions and you will do fine. Who, What, Where, When, How and Why. Your paper will write itself. And have fun. Sherlock Holmes is a fun guy, so is Watson!

Take a deep breath and relax. Secondary school is a great time of life and offers alot of opportunities for kids to expend themselves intellectually, emotionally, and become more responsible. It's important to realize that harm will come to you only if your in harm's way. Do you have a good group of friends attending this new school with you? Don't hang around with kids who get into alot of trouble. Get a buddy to hang out with and try to avoid the bullies. All schools have them. Yes secondary school can be a scary thing,but it is a part of life. You will probably do just fine, remember to be yourself and you will make plenty friends. If you get bullied always tell your parents or other authoritative members,do NOT EVER be discouraged to tell on someone who is doing things that may be harmful to you or others. I'm a senior in high school and I understand how you felt becoming a freshman. You feel worried about, "The what ifs..." It's not as stressful as you think. You will get use to it by a week and you will make friends in places you wouldn't think. High school is the greatest years of a students life. By 12th grade you will look back and think why was I so scared. Good luck!

Im about to join a college in Surrey, from what I can remember secondary school was a brilliant experience as you get a great relief off from primary school. Just relax, try to get to know everyone in your tutor/ registration group, look for friendship and you might be lucky enough to get some good friends from a completly different school. All I can say is good luck at your new school and hope you get great exam grades as i just suk at everything.
